Camp Brian

For our Victoria Day long weekend we headed up to "Camp Brian" in Holland MI for a relaxing weekend at his cottage he was renting. He's now in CA starting his summer long bike trip across the US to raise money for wells in Africa (Ride Well Tour) www.brianmulder.net if you know him and would like to see what he's up to these days. :)

Anyway, back to the topic at hand! I'll let the pics sum up our weekend!

Ok, so maybe we do look just a smidge alike.... Mom claims this was her first ever self-taken picture. We all love this lady. Unfortunately, Gramps couldn't make it, he had a trip somewhere across the globe. We missed him.

Was a smidge foggy on Saturday. Christel went for a walk with the kids and disappeared after a few minutes. We had the beach to ourselves! Sunday and Monday were incredible and HOT with lots of brave people in the coooold water. All around, we were pretty blessed with the weather!

B came home from the beach each time just loaded with sand everywhere. I think Brooke definitely had the most showers of the weekend. :)

We definitely want to do this again! I love my family.

We're loving having a place to sit outside. Now all we need is a patio set of some sort. :)

Derek's at work tonight, the kiddos are in bed, dishes are done, finished up my hours for work, there's nothin' on t.v. and I just don't feel like doing much productive tonight... so I thought I'd update the blog!

The girls were hard at work on Tuesday with Daddy while Micah slept and Mommy taught preschool. D took some shots of the action. :)

I'm thinking it must've taken a LOT of trips with those little buckets...

Playing outside on a beautiful crisp Thursday. Oh, I guess that was just yesterday!

Had to take a pic of them actually getting along. :) It seems when they're playing house or school or something together they are best of buddies. In this pic Geneva was the Mom and Brookie was the kid.

Brooke: Mommy!

Me: Mmmhmm?

Brooke: No, Geneva's the mommy! You're the aunt, remember?

Me: Oh, right. Sorry neice.

Geneva: What do you want kid?
....

For some reason, when they play house, the mom always calls the kid, "kid."
